Sterban received a phone call from William Lee Golden of the Oak Ridge Boys, who wanted to know if Sterban was interested in singing with the group in 1972. “So there I was and all of the sudden I was in the right place and right time singing with the King of Rock and Roll and to be a part of it was very exciting,” said Sterban. During his time with this group, they got a call to be a backup group for the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley.
